Within the deep Burrowroot Wood to the north lies a small village with a miraculous gift. Elixirs created from the village are known to cure most illnesses and rejuvenate life. Rumor has it they hold the key to immortality. Every year they hold a celebration for their deity, The Great Toad, and crown the annual King or Queen of Toads.

Festival of the Great Toad is an adventure setting and dungeon crawl that is appropriate for a one-shot! The adventure contains 14 pages of content, with hooks, NPCs, a mini-game, and suggestions for future adventures that may tie in to this supplement.

Created for DURF Jam 2024!

I consider this a BETA build of the game and will update it later with better illustrations, more content, and system neutral settings. The Beta version will always be free.

I played this module with my kids today (ages 8 and 11) and we had a blast. They collected enough toad secretion to craft an elixir of life to help their patron. They didn’t put a stop to the cult but they did escape without harming anyone (besides using a sleep spell on the guard and threatening the nun and her attendants). No combat is a first for them.
